The story
Long ago, Santorini—once called Kalliste—was a flourishing island believed to be the true Atlantis. When its people grew arrogant, Poseidon, god of the sea, unleashed a cataclysm of fire and water, destroying the island in a single, apocalyptic eruption. Moved by their downfall, Hephaestus, god of fire and invention, created the Antikythera Mechanism
—a complex, gear-driven device capable of predicting celestial alignments and natural disasters. More than an astronomical calendar that can predict planetary alignments and eclipses, it generated a divine harmonic field, a protective force meant to shield the island from Poseidon’s wrath. The device functioned for generations until priests tried to move it to another threatened city. Poseidon struck again, sinking their ship near Antikythera, where the mechanism was lost until 1901. Now, with ancient forces stirring, legend holds that Hephaestus has forged a new mechanism, hiding its pieces across Santorini, waiting for a hero to restore the island’s protection. Find and assemble the hidden pieces of the Antikythera mechanism and place it to protect Santorini from another devistating attak by Poseidon.
To begin, you must decide how to get to the upper level of the caldera, either by tram or taking the ancient steps. Once at the top, your adventure will begin.
